Police appeal for information on acid attack on 18-year-old horse

Police in Killamarsh are appealing for information after a horse was injured in a suspected acid attack.

The 18 year old horse named Thomas the Tank Engine, has now been left with scarring on its head and neck.

A Derbyshire Police spokesman said: "The incident happend sometime between 10pm on Sunday, June 3 and 7am on Monday, June 4 a corrosive substance was thrown on the horse’s mane while it was in a field on Spinkhill Road."

"The substance caused some of the horse’s mane to fall out and a small wound on its face."  

Police would like to speak to anyone with any information about the incident.
