Sixth Horse Attack in Two Months

Police are appealing for information after a horse was attacked by a dog in South Bank.

The five-year-old mare was attacked on land next to Roberts Avenue in Grangetown, sometime between 5pm on Saturday 30th June and 8am on Sunday 1st July. She received a nasty wound to the side of her back.

PC Mike Pilbeam of the Joint Equine Group said: “This is the sixth horse to be attacked in South Bank over the last two months. Five have been attacked by dogs and the other was stabbed. I would like all horse owners and dog owners to take care following these incidents.
