Unfortunately, Diesel, ridden by Tom McEwen was not accepted at the trot-up this morning (Wednesday). Chef d’Equipe for the British eventing team, Yogi Breisner commented; “We’re very sorry for Tom that he’s not able to take part in the Championships. The horse got sore in his back during the travel over and it is absolutely nothing serious”.

The event begins with two days of dressage (Thursday and Friday), with the cross-country phase taking place on Saturday, whilst the medals will be decided after Sunday’s showjumping round.

The British team have been drawn eleventh to go. A full list of all horse and rider combinations competing at this year’s Championships, along with an event schedule can be located on the Malmö event website -
