Do you hold your Pony Club A Test?

Do you hold your Pony Club A Test?

Would you like to help The Pony Club celebrate this iconic Test and share your experiences with others? Then The Pony Club want to hear from you!

The Pony Club Training Committee is seeking past and present Members who have achieved their A Test, to attend a special celebration event, including a gala dinner and training day, during 22nd - 23rd June 2015.

Over 1500 people hold the prestigious Pony Club A Test, and although detailed records have been kept of those who have passed the Test, many from the earlier years do not have contact details and hence The Pony Club Training Committee want to spread the word that they want to hear from anyone who holds the Test and find out more about what it means to them.

It is hoped that the celebration event will act as an opportunity to meet other A Test holders, network, and share their experiences both from within the equestrian industry and beyond; as well as being a celebration for those who have achieved the pinnacle of The Pony Club's training system.  As the majority of the Training Committee are A Test holders themselves they also understand that those who hold the Test are fantastic examples of potential future Committee members and contributors, who could help to drive the training ethos of all-round horsemanship and care forward for The Pony Club in the years to come.

The two day event, which does not have to be attend as a whole, includes a gala dinner on June 22nd, including guest speaker William Micklem, FBHS, A Test Honours, followed by a day at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre on June 23rd, hosted by Richard Davison, four-time Olympian, European Medallist and A Test holder, and John Ledingham, Olympian and celebrated International Coach. Richard and John will work with past and present Pony Club Members to bring attendees a series of riding sessions celebrating The Pony Club’s highest accolade.

“The A Test Reunion is a chance for this exclusive group of equestrians to reminisce and celebrate friends, new and old” comments Jenny Cowen, Training Officer for The Pony Club. “We really hope to be able to get in contact with as many as possible to attend both the gala dinner, as well as the daytime event so we can celebrate in style”.
