Blackburn & District Pony Club member shortlisted for BETA Award

Blackburn & District Branch of the Pony Club are more than a little giddy this morning! One of their members, Ricki Riley, has received some amazing news: Ricki Riley (sponsored by Horzehoods) has been shortlisted as a finalist for the BETA Rider Award Category alongside Piggy French (Dodson & Horrell), Sophie Webster (Neue Schule), Kristie Clinch (Airvest), Ben Hobday (Equilibrium Products) and Marie Sandell (Bliss of London).

This award recognises sponsored riders who have made the greatest contribution to the trade. It is presented to those who have participated fully in building a relationship with their sponsors, generating good results for them as well as themselves.

Ricki has competed successfully with her pony Mister Copperfield at County Working Hunter and has represented Blackburn and District Branch of the Pony Club as a leading light in their show jumping and dressage teams.

Ricki says: “I’m so proud to even be nominated for such an award so to become one of 6 finalists is absolutely unbelievable, especially for an amateur up against riders who I aspire to! I can't thank Stacey of Horzehoods enough for believing in me and nominating me, even without me knowing! And to my fantastic pony of a lifetime Mister Copperfield for helping me achieve the results I have! I can't wait to get dressed up and enjoy the night regardless of results!”

The winners will be announced at the BETA Gala Dinner on Sunday, 24 January ‪#‎BETABusinessAwards2016
